  • Christmas Gift Guide 2020.

So here we are in November with time ticking away during this very strange time. Christmas shopping might be more a challenge this year but it doesn't need to be if you follow my gift guide for a variety of people in your life. Here goes.... The cushion has a zip fastening & comes complete with a duck feather cushion pad. Measures approximately 60cmx60cm square. Looks beautiful on a special chair or as a very special feature cushion on a sofa amongst lots of other pattern & colour for an eclectic look. Giraffe Flower Vase by Quail - £48 Really striking, large sized giraffe flower vase with watercolour style decoration for the spots & lovely accurate nose, ears & horns! Dogs & Cats coat hanger - £6 Quirky & unusual clothes hangers with dog head printed onto MDF to make them appear as if they are wearing the clothes they are hanging! 'The Importance of Moths' print - £45 Giclee print of an original set of studies, compiled together of moths which are important in our gardens. These drawings were individually created using pencil & chalk pastel & then worked on using Photoshop. The print includes the names of the individual moths are written beside each one. This is not an accurate representation, my studies have artistic license! Each print is signed, edition numbered, mounted & wrapped in plastic. Print size 30.5 x 30.5cm plus mount. Puppy night light - £7 Sleepy little ones will adore this snoozy puppy. Shaped as a friendly and calm puppy dog, in a soothing sandy shade with a warm orange collar! Yes we do. Gift vouchers can be used on anything in the nursery/gifts. You can choose a traditional paper voucher here or an electronic voucher which can be sent on your chosen date via email here. We cannot give change if the total amount spent is below the v oucher amount so change will be made in vouchers/credit note. We do not accept National Garden Vouchers. PRIVACY POLICY DO YOU LEND/HIRE OUT PLANTS FOR WEDDINGS OR BUSINESSES? Click here for our Privacy Policy WHEN ARE YOU OPEN? We are a seasonal nursery so all plants will go into our greenhouses & tunnels to overwinter. I am open during November for gift & decoration shopping. We open for Christmas tree sales from the last week of November/first weekend of December however the dates land! We close during August every year and do not open for plants again until April when the plants are fully bench ready! We will be doing our usual hours and days from the 1st weekend of April: Saturdays 10-5 Sundays 10-4 Tuesdays 10-2 Thursdays 10-2 Fridays 10-2 CAN MY DOG VISIT YOUR NURSERY WITH ME? We welcome well behaved dogs on leads. We do have a resident dog at weekends who is very friendly & has free range of the nursery so please keep your dog on a lead. We also have a cat called Suzy. Please bring bags to clear up after your dog. DO YOU SELL PLANTS ONLINE OR MAIL ORDER? You can order plants online but only for collection. We do not sell via mail order due to plant passport paperwork. DO YOU HAVE VOLUNTEERS ON THE NURSERY? We do not hire or lend plants or stock for use outside of our nursery. We have done this a few times before & stock has gone missing, been damaged or not returned. As it is our very small family business we cannot afford these losses so we have a blanket policy to say no to requests now. I reserve the right to cancel any online orders if the items have gone out of stock or I am not able to ship the order due to size/weight. A full refund will be made immediately if this should happen. I will email you immediately if for any reason the order cannot be fulfilled due to stock or manufacturing or delivery issues. Payment options are offered via Stripe payments for debit & credit cards online. In the physical shop I can accept cash, credit & debit cards (including American Express) & ApplePay. No cheques. WHAT IF I PAY FOR AN ORDER WHICH IS OUT OF STOCK? WHICH PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT? I currently only sell my own work & stock pieces that we feel will compliment our stock. The local town has a strong, wealth of local art, craft & design work selling in independent shops, so I tend to choose very carefully as not to clash with other nearby retailers. Please do not be offended if I say no! We just know what sells for us and will compliment what we already have in our collection. We don't have volunteers on the nursery currently as we have enough work to organise for ourselves, adding volunteers into the mix is too chaotic at the moment! DO YOU SELL OTHER ARTISTS WORK? WILL YOU SELL MINE? Delivery: I send all orders via Royal Mail 2nd class tracked delivery. You will receive an email to confirm your order, another when the order has shipped with a Royal Mail tracking number. During strikes I will use an alternative courier company such as Yodel or Evri. Orders over £95 qualify for free delivery in the UK. FAQ: FAQ

SUSTAINABILITY IS AT THE HEART OF OUR NURSERY REDUCING PLASTIC USAGE Innovation to stop plastic pots DALEFOOT COMPOSTS Peat free compost with added sheep wool! HARVESTED RAINWATER Healthier plants We are one of the first nurseries in the UK to adopt the Posipot created in Kent & featured on Gardeners World back in 2019. As soon as we saw the feature, I phoned the inventor & asked if we could order some as the simplicity of the design was fascinating but so simple! Our aim is to stop plastic pots leaving the site & going home with customers, stopping the chain of plastic waste before it reaches your garden. The reaction to the Posipot has been so positive & it has become a real feature of making our nursery progressive. As peat bogs in the UK & Ireland are in real decline, destroying the nature balance in the landscape & wildlife, we wanted to find a peat free alternative to use on our stock & sell to our customers. After lots of research & trials we decided that Dalefoot was the best by far & we LOVE it! our plants are healthier & the use of wool (a bi-product from sheep farmers which would go to waste as it's not in demand currently) retains the water which is much better than coir (coconut fibre which tends to be very dry & has to be flown across the World) this compost also contains natural bracken found in the Lake District so it will break down over 12 months & feed your plants meaning no extra feeding needs to be done! On the nursery we collect all the rainwater from the buildings & it goes into an underground tank. We use the rainwater to water all the plants on site & have found that it has made the plants healthier & greener! The beauty of the rainwater is that it is not as hard with less limescale than the mains water. Sustainability: Services
